Overview

Overview

If we cherish children and young people's health and mental wellbeing, the real issue becomes how to promote and maintain quality relationships and have better conversations about change.

If the key determiners of change is the quality of relationships then how do we ensure that our systems and structures create the right conditions for healthy relationships to thrive? What is the school’s capacity for healthy relationships? Do staff and students know how to listen and speak to each other? Do the school’s values bring people together or keep them apart? Do the leaders in the school create the conditions necessary for our psychological need for trust and safety?

This workshop will explore these questions along with the value of improving children and young people's mental health and wellbeing in the school setting through secure connections, purpose and affirmation.
