Senedd Insight’s Achieving Racial Equality in Wales Digital Conference will bring together public, private and third sector stakeholders from across Wales. We will showcase how to increase access to working opportunities, drive ethnic and racial representation in the workplace and build inclusive anti-racist organisations.

You will hear from Usha Ladwa-Thomas (Policy Official and Adviser on Racial Equality) who will explore the Welsh Government’s ambition for an anti-racist Wales by 2030, the Race Equality Action Plan (REAP) and how public, private and third sector organisations fit within this mission.

Hear how to utilise ethnicity data effectively to identify gaps in representation, map disparities in employee experiences and track progress on racial equality issues. You will also learn how to convert data into action plans that lead to long-term tangible change.

This event will feature practical case studies on how to increase the accessibility and exposure of advertised working opportunities to strengthen candidate pools with ethnic minority talent. You will also explore best practice in inclusive recruitment and how to overcome barriers to drive ethnic minority representation throughout the organisation.

Explore the lack of representation found at the top of organisations across Wales and how proactive leadership can drive the racial equality agenda forward through allyship, mentorship and sponsorship. Lastly, you will learn how to create cultures of inclusion and belonging to support the working experiences of ethnic minority staff.
